A properly functioning immune system
• Recognizes and discerns real threats from non-threats so that it’s not constantly working hard to fight off the things that are not as important (i.e. pet dander or pollen) and can focus all of its efforts on the real threats.
• Reacts quickly and with pinpoint focus to help clear bacteria from the lungs and airways.
• Remembers once it’s been exposed to a given threat and should always be alert.
